Thrill Factor : Awesome Again-Forever Paradise
Thrill Factor aka Fox is a 15.2hd pale chestnut gelding with a good amount of Bend Or spots. So named for the first thoroughbred recorded to have had these almost appaloosa like spots. Fox was born in Florida to a royal racing family, his sire Awesome Again having one the Breeder's Cup, and his sire's dam foaling two Breeders Cup winners Awesome Again and Macho Uno. His dam's sire was also a graded stakes winner.
Fox was a racehorse for a few years but his heart really wasn't in it. He won a few times but he really is an unmotivated creature and track life didn't suit him at all. His connections tell me he would longingly watch people as they strode by wishing for some attention and never getting any. He was all together a sad little thing and his connections decided it was time he went on to another job.
Which is how I ended up with him. He's slow and quiet and I am completely convinced he was a draft plow horse in another life. But he's also sweet, vocal, brave and has very little spook him. Although he hasn't come face to face with Seneca's nemesis the cow yet. He has seen them at a distance and eyed them hard but whereas Seneca would have been bolting to have those cows even a 100yards away Fox merely stared and walked on.
He will never be an UL eventer but as that is not my goal I think we'll wander along this eventing path slowly, with many time faults I'm sure, but with fun and love between us.
